Meka the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever.

I had admired this little breed for a considerable time, so decided three years ago to start looking for one.  As it turned out fellow golden retriever exhibitors,  Martin and Carol Widdowson have a pretty little bitch Saska who they have done well with in the ring and were going to mate, so I booked one, and twelve months later Meka was born.  She has been an absolute pleasure, although hard work at times, through her typical Nova Scotia temperament of exuberance, over activeness, agility, (jumping on to tables, freezers, into cars and generally places where she shouldn’t be), and then there is the “scream” although most of the time she is fully controllable and extremely obedient.

Meka has excelled in the show ring qualifying at her first championship show for Crufts 2008 and qualifying and attending Crufts 2009, although unplaced in a large post graduate class.   We have enjoyed our two years with Meka both in and out of the ring and hope to have many more years of fun with her.  Meka qualfied again for Crufts 2010 so hopefully she will be attending.  Meka has been mated to Polish Jnr Ch. Ale Rudy Fallowfen Lis Retrover (Rudy) pups hopefully due around 21st February. MEKA PUPS ARRIVED - SEE BELOW MEKA'S PEDIGREE FOR PHOTOS.

2008:

Qualified for Crufts 2009 on three occasions.  Shown successfully at open shows and also Champ shows.

2009:

Qualified Crufts 2010 at Gundog Society of Wales winning P/G Bitch.

22nd February 2010 Meka's Puppies arrive:

Meka has produced six puppies, 4 bitches and 2 dogs. Birth weight 14 oz each, all well and very round.
